This the first auction I've seen where they are charging an "Overhead Premium", in addition to the Buyers Premium.

Appears to be an example of "Geisha Girl" porcelain. Probably a cover for a powder jar from a dresser set?

Check the lower right hand of this page (http://www.retro-vegas.com/carts-racks.html) for a somewhat similar unit.

A knowledgeable voice that will be missed here for sure. As time goes on for all of us I often think of a short poem by Robert Service.

Just Think!

Just think! some night the stars will gleam
   Upon a cold, grey stone,
And trace a name with silver beam,
   And lo! ’twill be your own.

That night is speeding on to greet
   Your epitaphic rhyme.
Your life is but a little beat
   Within the heart of Time.

A little gain, a little pain,
   A laugh, lest you may moan;
A little blame, a little fame,
   A star-gleam on a stone.

Merry Christmas folks.

“My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?”

Check out the link below if you haven't already, and especially the third paragraph. Pretty well sums up the difficultly in researching some of the odd name machines. ???

I agree that he has the appearance of one. What is that around his neck, a pigtail?

Quite the collection here:

To me, it looks like a pretty typical "Delivery Box" that was used by commercial bakeries to deliver fresh baked bread to customers daily. I guess it could have been used on a stage coach in remote areas, but most date back to early to mid 20th century, and were carried by trucks or rail.

Here's an example on ebay (What a long address!) https://www.ebay.com/i/123908131861?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-213727-13078-0&mkcid=2&itemid=123908131861&targetid=4580977766998583&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=&poi=&campaignid=403204665&mkgroupid=1238050308086972&rlsatarget=pla-4580977766998583&abcId=9300377&merchantid=51291&msclkid=e38f113bd97512fc7cb14eead920cda7

Hi everyone;
(I'm getting used to a new computer, and trying to remember passwords. Been staying home and away from people. In fact I even gave up talking to myself! ???)

In regard to the item in question, it almost looks "soot" covered on one end. Maybe fireplace related?

Is this the document?

Nice old machine, but I'm guessing that someone will want it to use, rather than collect. Therefore, the price will have to remain realistic.
