Title: age of this brass bed warmer?
Post by: tara1245 on August 15, 2009, 11:21:32 am
I thought I'd put this on craigslist because it's not in great condition and I didn't think it would be worth it to put it on ebay.  Does anyone know if this would be vintage or antique?

Are there any markings on the item, and a good shot of the whole item may be helpful.   I would think it would most likely be antique if not real close, cause not many were used after the 1930's.  These can be worth a fair value, if we can find the manufacture and date.  These can be hot items  ::) to interior decorators and vintage store fronts.  I would say in excellent condition they will start around 40 to 50 bucks, of course the more information you gather the value can go up.

It says made in England on the back.  There is a dent in it, unfortunately, so not great condition.  I'll check again but I don't think there is a makers mark anywhere.
