Darn, now I don't know what to do! I would be trading them for something I love. I'm only trading the sign because it's over 12 feet long and a huge pain to move. These chairs are pretty to me but the sign is very valuable and I'm nervous to trade them for something not very valuable. I'll go look for more pictures of the chairs but I may have to send them to you again, jacon, because I can't upload them from my phone.

LOL The antiques here definitely aren't very old! I just browsed the Craigslist antique section for the first time today and NOTHING is pre-1900. I'm a poor girl so I doubt I could afford your pieces! But feel free to email me pictures any time.

I know, you know I've wanted 18th century furniture forever and I never seem to find it. I thought this was my chance to trade for what I really wanted. Dangit! :/

Please be genuinely old.

That is incredible!! I love it! The forum won't let me upload pictures from my phone and I do everything from my phone. Can I email them to you, Jacon? If so, can you PM me your email address?

I don't have Twitter but maybe I'll go make a post on the forum. :) I'll post it in a few minutes.

How bizarre! I haven't logged in for a very long time. I came to ask jacon about some chairs someone is going to trade me. And this is the top post! I have started collecting crystals and minerals and antiques have taken a back seat for a bit. I still love them and have many of them. But after my divorce almost 4 years ago I had to sell many of my prized possessions and collecting just wasn't the same after that. If anyone would like to be friends on Facebook, feel free to send me a message. :)

Thanks, Mart! And you're right about a difference between collecting and just buying once in awhile. I don't seek out antiques or look for them at all anymore. They just kind of cross my path and if the deal is too good to pass up, I'll buy it.

Guilty. And the dresser. And...
Lol
I guess I should have said that I'm not buying every antique I see anymore. :-)

Glad to see you're all still here!
Gorgeous cabinet, I wish I could see it in person.
I thought I logged in once and told everyone about where I'd been. Two years ago, when I was heavy into antique collecting, my husband left. And left me with $0. I had to sell most of my antiques to pay the rent and watch them be loaded onto a truck and driven away. I loved them and it was extremely hard for me. I've never gotten back into collecting, I guess because I just have terrible memories. I have some here and there around the house but I mostly collect crystals and minerals now. Maybe I'll take a few pictures of my antiques and post them. I moved to AZ from Washington and all of my belongings from my "previous" life are in WA still. I moved here with a few outfits and my cat. :-)
Anywho, great to "see" you all again!

Also, if I remember correctly, a Lane Cedar chest that I used to have had a 4 digit number on it as well. I emailed the company and they gave me the exact date of manufacture.
