Rayo Lantern #77

smile4katie:
Thanks all :)
That old ad was very cool!

I am still a tad curious about the fact that it has the original globe because I can not find one of them any where. But no matter it looks awesome on my mantle and as soon as I get the plain replacement globe I'll use it!

I have a couple of other things I want you guys to check out for me as soon as I have time to get them in here!

Thanks again,
Katie

cogar:
Why a replacement globe, ..... one could cost you as much as the lantern is worth.

Fix the wick, ..... put some kero in it ...... and sit it back on your mantle.

And when the lights go out, ..... take it down and light it ...... and you won't be in the dark. ;D ;D ;D

smile4katie:
Really? Looks like I can get a globe for around $7 I would rather use that and put the original away, you just never know how much it may be worth when my children are lighting it for their children :)

Rayo barn lanterns are easy to search for. Just type "Rayo barn lantern" in Google and take your pick. Not hard to find. Prices vary and I doubt these will ever increase to a price level your kids will fight over. Too many of them were made and still survive.
