Vintage Blue Radium Arc Welder/ Can you help?
« on: September 30, 2007, 12:02:20 pm »
I have just registered and am not sure if I am doing this correctly.  I have acquired an old Blue Radium Arc Welder in new condition (still packaged).  It says that it was manufactured in Corvallis, Oregon.  The manufacturer was Blue Radium Arc Co.  It has directions included.  It has #M-69 on the box.  However, I can find no date anywhere.  This is a hand held welder.

Since the State of Oregon has a website that lists the registered businesses, I tried looking info. up that way.  I still could not find anything about this company.

Judging from the box, I'm guessing that it could be anywhere from the 30's to the 50's.  I don't know a lot about antiques, so I'm not sure.  The welder has never been used and is interesting because of the vintage look to it, and to the box.  The box says, " Complete with welding and soldering and cutting points.". I'm looking for some help on identifying this.  Can anyone be of any help-or know where I can get help?

Thank you

I know you posted this a very long time ago and still only have one post.
I have a welder just like yours only not as new looking.
This one has been used.
My step-father bought it and he has been dead now for at least 12 years.
That would have made him 84.
He was born in 1916.
Seems like I can remember him trying it out soon after he married my mother.
That would have been 1964 or 65.
Anyway,,,, Searching for info on mine is what brought me to this post and I am very happy that I found this group.

From the graphics I would say 1960s at the oldest.

Are you still on here? I know its a long shot because of the time frame. Do you still have this welder? I just bought one at a yard sale. Nothing with it though, just the welder. Could you post some pics of every again?
