Can anyone give me some info on this old toaster. The only marks I could find are near the bottom on the side and it says either PROTOS or PROTO5. I could not find anything online relating to either in regard to toasters. Curious how old it is.

This is more than likely from the 1940's. This looks as if it may have been a restaurant grade one.

Now that I see it, that SS in the circle over the word PROTOS may indicate Siemens-Schuckertwerke.
