Found this weird ornate knife with writing on the blade. Pics on here.

beautiful but some more information would be helpful. are the decorative beads plastic glass or stone? is there writing on the blade? i see a picture of a fish, probably a scaling knife of some sort. what material is the handle and blade. as well as hand forged or no?
-
The blade is hand forged I believe and it has engraved hand written letters on it....not Chinese, maybe Arabic? It doesn't show well in the one pic but it is there. Seems to be a pliable metal handle and sheet (spelled wrong) and those are glass beads. It has a place to go on a belt on the other side. I'm gonna bring it to a knife person I guess. It is very interesting.

I think it might be a kirpan, which is a sikh religious dagger.

Look's like a Islamic Jambiya...maybe from Yemen?

Thanks for the help!! It is definitely a Persian fighting knife, or Jambiya. There is a pic of an almost identical knife from 1977 if you Google it. Thanks again!
