Can anyone help me identify and date this crock?
I think it's Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery Company, but the stamp is faded.

I do not think it is RRP !! Most all of those early pots had an impressed mark "RRP&Co,, Roseville Ohio, USA" Newest had a stamp with it spelled out !! They did use a crown on the outside on some of their pottery !! I have seen that mark before ,,I think someone a while back posted on it here !! Let me look !!

There was a discussion on the USA mark ..... which that piece is marked.

Couldn`t do a site search for that urn shaped mark !! Anyone else maybe ???

If you put a full picture of the front to it might help me. In my bottle books they have crocks. I could maybe match it up and find out. I'll check a marks book I have to see if its in there too!

I question whether it is a crock. I have many old crocks, and none are like that on the bottom. My books say for crocks smooth base and I haven't seen them signed at the bottom. Maybe later I'll get one down and take a photo to show you. I'm making dinner. If I could really see it I could tell more. I can't tell is that a cartouches on the bottom? I can't see it clear enough.
