Title: Is this junk or an antique?
Post by: newby201 on May 12, 2012, 10:19:34 pm: Hi! I found this at a garage sale that seemed to mainly have antiques. I picked this up because of how beautiful it is. Any ideas if this is junk or an antique?

Looks fairly modern..but then again the photo quality leaves much to be desired in helping out. Are there any makers
marks on the bottom?

The bottom reads AM in capital...under that it says No 0206 and below that DP (which looks more printed by hand). The second picture is of the bottom...if you zoom in you can see the brand. The AM has an angel on it. Any ideas??

It should have some darkening on the underside where it has been sitting on things year after year. It looks to clean and bright to be antique, but I would not call it junk at all. It looks quite nice! Are you sure that "angel" is not actually a mermaid? Isn't that a tail I see there?

Am I correct that you are in the USA? No import information on it (which isn't saying much these days).
