Title: What in the world are these?
Post by: halsey123 on July 09, 2012, 07:51:15 am
I was going to give them away but thought I should research first. Since I am clueless and the only mark says "Base made in Italy"  I don't know which direction to take.  When I type in base Made in Italy, everything made in Italy comes up.  Can anyone help this old fool and tell me if these are anything special and what are they?
thank you
Oh and they are fairly tall 1 foot 2 inches.

Ordinarily the bases are marked like that if they are crafted separately of Italian marble !!  Cannot see how these are done from the pics !! I would bet they had a paper lable at one time and are imports for sale here and in other countries !! However,, if that is so,, they are very well done !! Beautiful faces,, excellent craftsmanship from what I can see !!  I would guess as a value,,around $30. each at that size and without knowing maker !!
