Ok I have another platter - and by the way - the ones I posted are only a portion - good grief LOL
In any case, I have this really nice National China Company Platter - no chips, dings, repairs or damages.
I have gotten better at researching marks and dating items but cannot find much on this company and can't locate this mark or date.
Anyone have more information?

Top two marks !! Numbers would probably be the pattern number or style number !!

Thanks again Mart as always - can't find a date on there!!!

I think my wife has the same platter. I am going to go look.

A bit of history !! Had to be between 1910 and 1929,, those are the only years it operated as National China Co. Look at the bottom of the page above,, I think I saw Patterns that you can check !!

Ah Mart thanks and if I am reading the history and the marks correctly then I think it would have to have been between 1899-1910 - when it sold and moved to Salineville in 1910 - the mark indicated Salineville. Would that be a correct assumption then? I am learning ::)
-
Nope,,!! It wasn`t National China before 1910 and wasn`t National China after 1929 !! Used different names before and after !! That is,, if I read it right !!
-
OK I did not read it right !! Or should I say,, I read too fast !! And I did not look at your mark good enough !! Yours does not say Salineville,, did not notice that !! So you are probably right,, if they used that mark before the move to Salineville !! Didn`t say about that but didn`t say they didn`t either so I would go with 1899 to 1910 !! I will try to open my eyes more tomorrow !!

LOL Thanks Mart - I was just typing you a message saying that I was the newbie here so I would just go with Early 1900's LOL still accurate either way then 8)
