Title: Leather Horse. Antique?
Post by: ANCIENTONE on October 13, 2012, 02:34:18 PM
I'm curious as to the age of this horse.  Leather looks old but i'm not sure and there are no markings.

Here's a similar one listed on Rubylane, believed to have been made in the 1980's.

You have a critical eye Mart, simply because you are a horse person....this leather horse ornament....to an untrained Mr/Mrs ...Joe Public...looks like a horse...they are not thinking...Hey...wa it a minute...this bit of its withers is wrong...or its hoof is squint.....they see a horse...its as simple as that....and if they like it and the price, they will buy it....

We have various saying,s over here...when we see something that is,nt quite right...one being..."its no more a horse than flying in the air"...i,m using horse as a metaphor...or this one which for me is a cracker...."He, or she,s got a face like a horses arse"...now you Mart will probably think that a horses..rear end is a beautiful thing,..whereas for others its the ugliest thing on the planet.... ;D ;D....as for this Leather cuddy...it may sell...who,knows....here,s two for sale in the UK

;D ;D ;D That's when one bag is not enough! We used to say put a bag over someone's head if they weren't attractive.
