hi again no marks to find just wondering if I should be leaving in front yard?
-
need more pic practice

Sure It would look nice in the front yard, appears like a terra cotta pottery and should weather just fine. If you are concerned about it being taken, well for the most part theives are not antique collectors and would not even notice it.

its iron
-
its just rusty

Oh well Iron I can stand in the rain for sometime and not be a problem ;D ;D Yea Iron is o.k. at least for many years it will rust away in a 200 or so years, I have a couple of iron things in my yard, not anything old and valuable though, You could coat it with something if you are concerned but in my opinion It will look good in a yard with a candle burning inside.

Looks like possibly a Victorian candle holder for Porch or Veranda !! Anything on bottom ?? I would just give it a coat of oil 2 or 3 times yearly if outside !!

Oil!....not petroleum i hope...you,d be better off painting it with smooth Hammerite...it comes in various colours...is totally impervious to the advances of rust...and looks great....the last thing you want is to have a scabby looking..lump of scrap cluttering up your porch..... ;)
