We found this in a drawer. I'm not sure of the age, that is your job HaHa! ::). We have several other personal care things from way back. Hair cream, salves that sort of thing. Is there value to these things or should we throw them out? I haven't taken pictures of those things, but I can.

Your piece was called  Zanadu  and sold c 1927 from Vantine's Oriental Store it was a well known gift store that specialized in imported wares "from the Empires of Japan, China, India, China, Persia and the East". It was founded in 1869 by AA Vantine in New York City,with branches in Boston & Philadelphia. Here is a sight that has more info about AA Vantine  http://vantines.net/interior_views.html

Check your piece for the Vantine mark  if marked $40.00 to $60.00 to a AA Vantine  collector.

Don`t trash anything before checking !!  Many have value !!  May not pay for a trip to Hawaii but check anyway !!

Wendy the outside says Lanado or Zanado. we are from Iowa would that cosmetic product be available here? Mart, I'll see about some of the other products and get a few pics. A snowy day here so this is good past time!
