Title: Silver bangle
Post by: leeb2012 on July 03, 2013, 04:41:10 pm
Hello all, sorry I have not been on here for a while. I have had to have my annual holiday to visit my "outlaws" in Iceland....

Just got back to work yesterday and found this rather nice silver bangle but I have not got a clue about the markings? At fist I thought hmmm they look Greek or something but I am to good with this stuff.

Any help as a start would be good :-) thanks people

Egyptian. The larger mark in the middle near the clasp is the tughra, which you see on anything from Egyptian silver to Iraqi coins.

On the top image, there is a date letter ( might appear like a v with two dots ) but also another mark which is not as clear - can i have another pic of this please ?
