Title: Italian soldier picture?

I have had this picture for around a year and someone told me they had the Italian flag on them.  Can anyone tell me more as to what war?  The lady had a on and the pendant was painted, why?

I think they are world war1 the uniforms. Maybe it's somekind of mourning photo. Maybe the women is wearing mourning neclace or brooch. Can't really tell from the picture.

I enlarged the last pic and didn`t see anything on the necklace !!

Finally got it and enlarged and agree with you Mart.  It just shows up as a greying pendant.

It just has a metallic paint on it.  Can't really see it unless in person.
