First he brought this item home in the box he found it in. I love the box. On the sides there are nursery rhymes on it. I tought it was a sausage maker, but those pieces the make other designs so I'm not sure. The bottom fits like a vice.

A better picture of the box.

It looks like the meat grinder my dad would use when processed his deer. It had a fine and coarse grinding mechanisms. It looks like yours has three.
And the box is great!!!!! Love it!

Thank you sreyomac and mart. I thought it was something like that. Mart , lol still not bad for a box from 1954. They made advertising so entertaining back them. I sometimes like to , as I would say, foghorn leghorn my husband sometimes. He gave the furniture to one of his foremans wit u out me seeing it. He said he didn't have furniture in a particular room. I hate when he doesn't let me see it. He does it on purpose, lol. He's afraid I won't sell it and keep it.

Tell him he may be giving away a million dollars in antique furniture !! LOL That's a guy for ya` !!

It is a meat grinder. My mother had one and used it to grind up ham for salad, etc.

Yepper! Still have one but don't use it much anymore!
Love the old boxes! They used to use pizzazz! Even commercials with their jingles were great!
