Title: Need help identifying these scales

Hi all
Cleaning out my fathers shed and came across these salter scales,
Any body know what they were used for or if worth anything?
I can't find anything similar on interment to help

Antique platform Scale,
I`ve seen similar scales-nowhere near as nice as yours on ebay

forgot to add, it looks like industrial scale to me,
used maybe in mills, post office, factory???

It does indeed look like scales for use in a factory !! No telling what they were used for !!

With the "lock" on the dial and the "backbrace" on the platform ..... my guess is a feed/grain mill ...... for weighing the feed/grain after it was bagged or when they purchased bagged grain.

Like, ya "lock" the dial, ...... throw several bags of grain on platform, ..... "unlock" the dial and record the weight.
