Hi, I find this antique chinese bronze figure of bird. I like some help to know anithing about here.

Doesn`t look like bronze,, looks like patinated brass !!

The color looks muddy to me and there is a sheen on the feather tips and a few other spots that looks odd. Most true bronze gets a very rich deep patina over time,, this one just doesn`t look right to me !!  Could be wrong,,but I wouldn`t pay money for it !!

Looks like an Ibis, so could be Japanese?  Looks like the underside has remenants of being cold painted bronze.  Can't make out the mark very well, can you take another closer up of it?  I like it, I would pay $$ for it!!  :)  GG

Very nice bronze piece.  Haven't seen one quite like it before.  Looks like that type item goes for $$$$ on Ebay.
