Title: Antique old painting on wooden panel

Hi,
Any ideas on this painting? Two chickens in a shack. It's a small painting (16x21 cm) and painted on a wooden panel. It's signed but unfortunately unreadable for me. The overall condition is poor. The rooster has an nasty scar and the varnish is old and darkened. Perhaps somebody recognize the artist?

Can make out what looks like H.F. but can`t read the rest !! Can you read it or tell what it looks like ??

It's hard to tell. I've tried to make it more clear in Photoshop but it's still very hard to read. H.F. or H.S. is about all I can read too.
