What is the blue mark on bottom ?? Its for baking something !! Looks like a bean pot !! How big is it ??  If small,, baked apples ect !! The wire holds the lid down ??  Could also be for simmering spices,orange peel, cinnamon with a little water to scent the house !! Like the slow cooker thing I have !!

Never mind,, you said the blue mark on bottom was the price tag !! How much was that chip bowl ?? You should have kept that !! If it was Vaseline glass would be a good one !! Vaseline glass can be green or yellow or any shade between !!  Not cheap either !!

Looks to be a Chinese claypot.  These are wonderful for cooking!
