Doesn`t remind me of any known designers of mid century modern but let Frogpatch look at it !! He may know !!

I can't tell you much, but I used to think that DGM stood for something like "Deutsches Gebrauchsmuster"(sp?) or "German Utility Model". Basically protected by a utility patent under German law. I'm probably wrong.

I spent a half hour trying to find anything without success. What I can say is that is an excellent example of a mid century floor lamp. I would expect a return of around 200.00 to 300.00, or more, selling it on line in NY, LA, Miami or several other metro areas. The cone shaped socket holders and the fiberglass shade are classic. I checked several companies but as Rauville said, I feel it is European due to the heavy cast aluminum base. I like it a lot.

Here's a better picture off the lamp and shows the way the bow is . The foot is made off steel very thick and heavy to keep the weight off the lamp itself .

Very graceful. Yeah, steel would make a lot more sense.
