Title: Iwo Jima Combat Correspondance
Post by: Vwdoyle on July 17, 2015, 04:37:42 pm
It has been awhile since I have posted.  I hope everyone is well.

I recently acquired a 5 page eye witness account combat Correspondance of the first 9 hours after troops landed on Iwo Jima.  This, to me, is an amazing piece of history.  My question is does this have any monetary value?  The photo of the correspondent was added by me.  Apparently he is well known and I was able to find a photo of him.  I thought it added a little to the message being able to see what he looked like.  Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I would say yes they have worth!

Heritage Auctions has some helpful information and free auction evaluation:
