I have a very close friend who asked me to post this 1920's stove. What can you tell her about it.

Made by Roberts & Mander Of Philadelphia... In 1918, the Roberts & Mander Stove Company of Philadelphia relocated their Stove manufacturing to the facility in Hatboro. The building and its foundry operated until 1950. The company manufactured nationally-known gas and electric ranges and was one of the largest producers of cooking equipment in the greater Philadelphia area. They distributed their ranges across the nation and overseas. The "Quality" brand ranges were recognized by the industry for their graceful design, innovative features, and dependability. They dominated the stove manufacturing industry in the region. As one of Hatboro's largest employers and most important industries, Roberts & Mander contributed to the evolution of the Borough from its rural origins to a thriving commercial center. In 2010, the Stove Works complex was converted into an award winning residential community called the Hatboro Lofts.

Perfectly working.
Why the "tarp" strap holding the oven door closed?
For moving purposes or door springs bad?
Anyway, the "green" and "blue" enameled ones used to be the most sought after with the "tan" or "cream" ones like above in 3rd place.
A great "decorator" piece ...... but also mighty handy during power outages.
