I would think that it is Hebrew, but I cannot read it unfortunately.

Mart, I have tried all kinds of variations of countries and astrology signs, religious vectors, etc.  Couldn't find one like this.

It does look like it is a type of Zodiac chart. Looks almost like a Viking theme running through it.

A tourist item?

I found a site that had the same symbols,,few were different but it seems that this is a Hebrew New Years plate !! The symbols are not always the same  from year to year !! The symbols I found were from 1950 and had many of the same ones !!  The language also is very similar to Hebrew !!  There is a link to the site on the Kovels site if you want to take a look !!

Would you agree KC with what I found ??  Yours is very similar too !!  Living in the southern bible belt I know little about the Jewish faith !!

I would say so Mart!

When I return home we have a close friend who is Jewish and he takes people on trips to Israel and other countries based on biblical theology.  I will try and remember to print these up and show him for more information.  (Here in HI 🌴🌴 for several weeks!)

Yes.  (The hubs misses it after being over here every week for 8 years and the past year he has been going to Hong Kong, France & Germany and then Rome next month!)

Looks like Hebrew to me.
