A Rolex once owned by Paul Newman sold for nearly $17.8 million in New York on Thursday, and set an auction record for watches.

And Newman gave it to his daughter's boyfriend? All I ever got from old girlfriend's fathers was a sour look. :-[

The boyfriend is currently Treasurer of the Nell Newman Foundation and donated portions to her foundation and Paul Newman Foundation.
A good story all in all. Great that a crazy price goes for things today. Gives us something to mull about!

Even without the Newman connection I would like to find that at a thrift store/garage sale !!
