Hawkeye Hamper: Original to a 1946’s bathroom with those peach and black tiles. Very substantial compared to today’s hampers. What do you think would be the value?

The inside of the hamper is coated with a fuzzy sprayed on material to keep it from snagging clothing.

Most are running between $40. and $60. I think this would be at the top end of that !! If in good condition !!

I kid you not!!!! We had the very same hamper growing up!!!!!! However, our wooden bottom ended up busting thru - we kids would use it as one of our hiding places playing hide-n-seek! LOLOL Great memories!
Now the inside of ours did not have that coating - just wicker. So either it was a "step up" or someone coated it. I can't say as I have seen any of them have that inside. Smart tho for the snag factor - but probably not so good for the bacteria/dirt factor.
In pristine condition would sell between $30 - $50 in my neck of the woods.

Thanks Ladies,
KC it was in my family home too LOL! It survived over 60 years. Must of been a “step up” because it always had the fuzz inside. Weird how many things all of us have in common.
