I have purchased a beautiful green urn (?) that has a vented top. It measures about 17" tall x 11" wide and weighs 8 lbs. The bottom of the urn is marked "Bona Fama Est, Melior Zoma Aurea (which is a French expression, translates as “A good reputation is better than a golden belt”), Alba China. Any ideas what period this urn was made, and any other information you may have on it. I can't find anything like it. Thank you for your help.

Could be a waste jar from a fancy wash set? According to DeBolt's Dictionary of American Pottery Marks, the "globe & sword" mark was used from 1890 to 1897.
