Sure ? Found out that the original is by Henri Matisse and a bitty expensive  ;) And then it's good copy if is from a very good artist

I somewhat like Matisse's "Cutout" work. At one time I thought a quilt patterned after his style would be nice to have. I showed a picture of his work to an older quilter and asked if she could make one? Her answer was; "No, you'll have to find some Beatnik to do it"! :o

So at least one other with my virus on the forum  ;D But still the question who has made this almost totally lookalike with only the name Henri Matisse put down as monogram H.M .

Gerspee,, do you have a next door neighbor ??  If so,, I guess it may be his or her work !  Stop and think,,  it is a student (likely) study of Henri Matisse`work with no name or anything else to identify it !!  Plus,, its from half a world away from where we are !!  There is no way on Gods Green Earth that we would know or could guess who may have done it !!  Its hard enough with established artists !!  I have no clue but still bet the neighbor did it !!   ;D ;D

LOl !! We usually eat about two in the afternoon for holidays and nibble the rest of the day !!  You had better like southern chicken and dressing,, thats what is on the menu !!  With sides of course !!

LOL Amusing thread!

I believe it is a student's work as well.  I find Matisse' work interesting but not a die hard follower. 

However...if I was given a piece of his work.  I would surely tout it then auction it so the world could have the opportunity to own it!  (sounds better that way, huh?)  LOLOL  Then my artsy child would make my life miserable the rest of my days.

Right KC !!  However I doubt anyone would give one to you or me !!  His work is just not something I would hang in my house !!  Its a bit boring !!
