Hi all! New here!
I have this vintage brass / wooden (base) piece that is a Zodiac Calendar. Looking online I only found one post about it that says it is from France / 1950's.
Does anyone have more information about it or have one like that?
I really appreciate your help!

What makes you think it is French? Are there any markings?
All writing appears to be in English.

Darn KC,,,you have better eyes than I do !!

The only source I found says it is from France and from the 50's. But Im'm not sure since the months of the year are in Italian, even the "Indice Zodiaco" as you can see in the picture. And the zodiacs are in Latin.

one more.

In that case you need to look at it being from Italy ! And believe me its not unusual for countries to be mixed up depending on where you got it !!

I "sit" corrected (pun on the words "I stand corrected") that when I first looked at the Zodiac signs they appeared to be in English. Upon closer inspection, this is a mixed media of language.
The Months of the Year are in Italian.
However, the Zodiac signs are not!
Italian is Capricorno not Capricornus.
Italian is Sagittario not Sagittarius, etc.....
Makes me wonder if it was an export item.

Can be!
Zodiac signs are in Latin.

ah, and this was the only information I found online, exactly the same one, saying and sold as "French".

Items from France always sound better than "Made in Italy" ! Just not as popular and sells for less !! Watch what you buy on the internet !!
