Title: Bavarian Tea Set
Post by: purposefulagain on February 18, 2021, 08:31:10 am
Hi,
I inherited this tea set from my grandmother who was born in the late 1890's.  It has "BAVARIA" printed in gold letters on the bottom of each item.  I have seen many similar patterns but all have a company name on the back.  Do you have any ideas of the maker of this set?  They are very delicate and have a beautiful iridescent finish with gold handles.  I have attached pictures of the tea pot, creamer, sugar bowl and the bottom of a dish.
Thank You,
Purposeful Again

With only country of  origin on bottom that marks it as an import !  They have imported similar sets for years,, back to early 1900`s  and before !  While very pretty there is no way to know the maker !  Way too many were made and most families had them !
