Title: What is this wood thing for??
Post by: JeanneCurt on January 13, 2023, 10:52:16 am
Good morning!
I found this wood thing at an estate sale but don’t know what it is used for.

It has a metal rod that snaps tight into a groove.  It measures 24" X 11 1/2" including the handle.  It is quite lightweight!

Thank you in advance for any ideas!

Jeanne

I ran a google image search, found this:

And then translated it. According to the translation it is a newspaper and magazine reading frame

Ditto what Talesofthesevenseas noted - It is a newspaper/magazine holder.  Haven't seen one for a very very long time!  Nice!

Thank you for the information.  I would never have guessed!!

Best thing is that it was 49 cents!  I thought it was interesting enough to take the chance 🤔😊
