Title: A tall "Golden Oak" sideboard
Post by: cogar on February 18, 2009, 02:00:04 am
For all those who like the old oak furniture I thought I would show you a couple pictures of the wife's oak sideboard. As I noted in another post, if she hadn't laid claim to it 20 years ago I would have sold it after I re-conditioned it.

These type sideboards can still be found at auctions and in shops but it is not likely you will ever see two that look alike.

For those who are not familiar with the glass sitting on said, that is part of the wife's collection of Fosteria, "American" pattern.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Very nice sideboard!  Can say I haven't seen many with the ornate work on the bottom doors like that!  Really like it!

That is a beauty.  I love looking at them.  They are all so different with their own "personalities" and I can't wait to get mine  ;)
Thanks for posting, and also commenting on mine! Liz
