This rocker is up for sale in my area and according to the seller it was made in the 1700's. I'm thinking it looks more 19th century, what do you guys think? He's asking $175 for it. Please take a look at the photo in full size, looking at what you can see of the style on the top and the construction, also looking at the patina around the front of the seat.

it's not 1700's.it's styled after Charles Eastlake. looks to have been refinished & new upholstery. $125.00 Dollars. but considering work done. $175.00 is a fair price.

That fits with what I was thinking. Definitely new upholstry, but I didn't realize it was refinished too. Not quite what I'm looking for, so I think I'll pass on this one, thanks very much for the input!
