Post by: antiquedummy on February 16, 2010, 07:48:29 pm
What the style, wood and age might be, I purchased at storage auction, have lots of antiques and I am an antique dummy. ;)
Thanks

the first chair is a splat back side chair. $150.00 Dollars. second is the settee  $ 250.00 to $300.00 Dollars. third is the sofa & l like it! it's a camel back sofa, in a federal style.

Not a period piece. but should bring a $1,000.00 Dollars High end shop. $2,000.00 Dollars.

Fourth is the bustle chair. $ 350.00 to $ 400.00 Dollars.

Great info D&b.

Just curious - is the last one a chair or settee?

KC that's and interesting question. we have two splats in the one settee which say's ok I seat two people. the other in question is a solid back. it just does not look like it will support two people.

But it would seat a victorian lady, in a large dress very well.

The only reason I ask is that I have a settee similar... (doesn't have slats but is upholstered).

If the  pictures are compared (2nd and 4th) they could appear as wide.

Just curious!
