Title: Clay statue

Hi I'm new to this but I've been looking for an interest fo ages and antiques are something that have always fascinated me so I thought I'd take a bit more of an interest in them ,I have a question my sister in law has a statue /figure of a boy carrying books and she loves it,it's very detailed and about 6-7" tall ,he's brown clay looking but it's a dirty stainy type of clay ,can someone tell me more about it and how much it might be worth ,thanks
