have one but been able to really get more then $60 for it.

Gold is approx. $29.50 USD (spot price) as of this moment (if the stated weight was accurate) ; diamond not worth too much , through my eyes ... $5-$10 .

I totally agree regjoe.
Even if I was an avid collector for Gulf Oil memorabilia....woul dn't pay more than $25 for a highly sought after one!
-
I think its more then that, I got an offer of $60 for it and accepted and wondered if it was worth more for its weight and the diamond in it.
I am finding most anyone who would buy these though probably worked for Gulf at one time before it was bought out in the 80s.
Most every site I have looked at has not asked for under $100 for it.

I have a 1 lb. box of Gulf "sealing" Wax in the original box and it is sitting out in my garage on a shelf. Is it collectible?

I would think so since Gulf dont exist anymore.
IMO Gulf was one of the best oil companies around until a very greedy Chevron took over, when the takeover happened, it screwed many people out of benefits.
I wish Gulf was still around myself.

I have a couple of those boxes as well from the days that my family made preserves and had to put wax on top!
They actually still sell it...usually $3.99 a box.
Here's an old one for sale! http://www.eebitshouse.com/servlet/the-100/Vintage-Gulf-gas-oil/Detail (http://www.eebitshouse.com/servlet/the-100/Vintage-Gulf-gas-oil/Detail)
