Hey, I'm new here and to the antique world and this is my first post. I have a Chessmen set that was made in china that has no other info than that on it or on the box. It was purchased from a garage sale 5 years ago. I am not sure how old it is or even if its close to being a antique or the value of it, I was hoping you guys could help me out. I will post some pictures below. Thank you

Welcome to the forum , kylebooth .
I'd say (100% sure) that your item is not antique .

From the looks of it....I would have to agree with fancypants.
We stick with the meaning of antique that antique - item of value and collectible that is 100 years of age or older.

Oh I wasnt sure of the definition of antique. The 100 years old clarifys that now:) Does anybody have any idea how old this could be or if its worth anything? Thanks alot for the replies.

One thing to try (sorry , I don't know the $ value of such items) is searching on Ebay for items like yours , in order to get an idea about how much folks are asking for them .
This works for many types of items , including vintage , antique & new ones .
Many members here use this method (myself included) !

kyleb...it might help to blow up (enlarge) the Chinese symbols and see what they mean as well. This can lend some insight as to age of item.
