Title: Chinese Cloud Collar Update

Some of you may remember the antique Chinese cloud collar that I bought on Craigslist a while ago and posted on this forum.

She contacted me again and the cloud collar is now going to be featured as part of a museum journal article she is writing for Museo del Traje (Costume Museum) in Madrid!

Very nice Talesof!  I was not familiar with the old posting so I clicked on the link and read it all.  It is wonderful to find out about objects such as this.  I had no idea what a cloud collar was until today.

Yeah I put the framing project on the back burner when all the health stuff hit, but was thinking the other day that I need to get rolling on that again since there is a blank wall in my living room that is waiting for it!

I think it is kinda cool that that whole thing  came about thanks to this forum and it sure has created a nice record of provenance/history for this piece. I was chucking to myself this morning on the way to work wondering what the lady who sold it to me would think of all this, since she handed it to me like it was a wad of old rags!

Tales, that is incredible!  Your collar is still creating it's history......the stories that will follow it through your family will make wonderful memories.  Can't wait to see it when it's framed....might actually encourage me to get a move on with my framing project.  ;)
