Hi all I'm new to this site but I was wondering if anyone could tell me about this peacock I picked up in Philadelphia in an African antique shop . I actually let a jeweler see it and he thought it my be worth something .he claimed it could be from the 30's or 40's help please !!!(http://[img])[/img](http://[flash=200,200][/flash])

I am betting the same date line as well.

This is when costume jewelry became popular (actually costume jewelry was coined by Chanel) and this was done in the very popular style of the time.

My grandmother had lots of peacocks decorated in this manner from the same time period....more likely the 40's.

Dimensions of the piece?
