Title: Fun things that I have found in my dads things

I founds lots of fun things in the boxes I got from my Dad's house after he passed. Just started going through some of them and these are a couple things I have found.

The second watch appears to be a "Curvex" and I can't make out the brand, may be Gruen.  I think both watches date from the 1940's.  The Gruen Curvex's bring a good price if everything works and cosmetically are nice.  I know I would like to have one.

I think the bookend is an oddity.  They normally didn't place the foil labels on the front of an object (by the mfg company) but would be placed by the store selling it.
