Title: my teacher found this tool and we dont know what it is.

She picked up this tool and cant find out what it is or what it was used for.

This sounds like a case for Wayward  but I'll keep looking ;D

Reminds me of an industrial version of the combs that are used to prepare sheep's wool to be spun before it goes on a spinning wheel. I have no idea what they are called though. I could be way off on this.

Been searching google patents for 40 minutes with no luck. Wayward will happen along and find it in 2 minutes.  :P

Believe it can be a "Combination Tool"  Patent # 181,104  granted on August 15, 1876 to Maynard Reynolds.
It is an improvement on a tool, arranged as a hoe with a potato hook.

I just got back from an out-of-town trip to visit my oldest daughter and her husband.  No time to surf.  Nice going on identifying this tool!
