I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION ON THIS DESK. IS IT ANTIQUE OR A REPLICA OF AN OLD DESK. THE ONLY MARKINGS ON IT ARE V1111. THE MARKING ARE ON THE 2 DRAWERS AND ON THE INSIDE OF THE DESK. I HOPE THESE PHOTOS WILL HELP IDENTIFY IT.

Oombaba, if you could show close up shots of the sides of the drawers (how it's put together....dovetai ls?) and also of the underneath and back of the desk. Construction helps a great deal in determining age.
BTW, welcome to the forum ;)

And an up-close photo of the lock hardware too please!

If by 'Replica' you mean a modern reproduction made to look old, then I don't think you need to fear on that score, I would say that it looks fairly original. The markings could easily just be the maker's way of remembering which drawers matched which cabinet, but in the absence of any other markings then finding out who the original maker was might prove impossible.
Over here (in the UK) these have really taken a dive, price wise. A few years ago they would cost anywhere in the region of £200+, but like a lot of brown furniture they can now be picked up quite cheaply. I was recently tempted by one at a local Antique Centre that was only going for £50. I still love them. Prices in the States may be very different.

Agree with all comments above. Please post more pics.

The "1 board" drop-down front tells me it is 1800's

Tend to agree cogar that it is late 1800's but would like a few more pics...of inside and drawer sides!
