Title: Help With Painting plz.

Just bought this painting tonight at an auction.
It is signed "LangFord 62"
Can't seem to find any information though.

Is langford the artist? or the person?

Value?

It is all original on canvas and wood frame with glass.
Any info would be great

I think it needs to be restretched as it is kind of bubbly.

Is it a painting or just a litho, Look like a litho that has been soft mounted to a board?

It's deff a painting. You can tell it is on canvas.

Not to knock your painting but if its on canvas,,they either used the cheapest available or stretched it themselves very badly !! I see nothing that looks like canvas !! Looks more like it was done on paper. May possibly be a watercolor as they commonly curl like yours if not mounted properly !! !! Need closer views or take it out of the frame and look at it !!

Well I want to apologize, The back looked a lot like it was on canvas. But after looking more carefully it wasn't.
 I took the back off of the picture and took the picture out and it is a picture drawn in chalk.

Knowing that, Think it has any value?
What is this kind of art called?

No matter the medium used, the value depends on the artist !! The medium for yours is called "pastel" !! Similar to charcoal but in a range of softer colors and frequently used for portraits because of the variations in flesh colors !! Believe me,,  I have tried it and it isn`t easy to use !! The signature is the artists and the year is was done !! I would say that it has a small value if any at all !! However if you like it,, it may have more than monetary value just to hang in your home !!  Many things that I have little value in dollars,, but if I like them,,they are priceless !!
