Title: OG Germany Porcelain Platter
Post by: GreenhornGirl on October 17, 2011, 10:29:11 pm
Found a couple of porcelain marks sites that have this OG Germany mark, but none quite know for sure what company it was.  Some say possibly Otto Grunert.

This site has a chocolate pot set with the same marking (color & style, different number though) as my platter and says it's circa 1900:

Anyone have any clues on this mysterious OG marking and/or a date range?  I have a variety of German porcelain with markings I haven't identified...might post a couple more in this same thread as I continue going through my stuff.

Not really interested in worth as much as I'm interested in who this OG marking belonged to.  This platter had an old yellowed handwritten $35 price tag on it.

Here's another Germany piece I don't have any info on yet...a lidded sugar bowl with "Germany" stamped in a sort of elongated circle with a sunburst around it.
