Title: What is this type of woodworking bench called?
Post by: hudsonhacker on November 05, 2011, 04:09:48 pm
Okay, it must have a real name. I have a woodworker's bench. You push down with your feet on the pegs and it clamps your workpiece. Anyone know what this is actually called?

Looks like a Shave Horse - still used by some traditional chairmakers.  Unfortunately, I would be no help in dating it...  Good luck!

Way to go, Matty!

I looked them up after Matty's id and yours is nicer than most I found.
