Title: 2 European miniature statues

I bought these two miniature statues of an old lady and man today in a market today. They are possibly from Germany. Both have writings on them saying A.P. 268 and A.P. 269. They're relatively heavy, each weighs maybe a kilo or two. Don't know what material they're made of. It isn't wood and it isn't metal. Maybe some sort of hard porcelain or clay.

Can you take a pic of the bottom?  They almost look like resin to me from my viewpoint!

I saw your pictures. Can you read the signature? I couldn't find your figures. Just back from vacation and am slow catching up.
