This was a Garage Sale item the wife bought Saturday for $1 and she is curious as to its age, the artist and possible value, especially if it is worth more than a $1.
It is a 3 7/8” diameter circle and is 4 ¾” in height. It has a brass frame and center medallion. The back is held on by the 4 moveable tabs. The center medallion can be removed and it is attached to a circular piece of clear celluloid. To the right of baby Jesus’ left arm is a signature that looks something like this: ‘RuIoY’ - with the “R” being the only for sure recognizable letter.
On the backside, across the top of the circular part of the frame is denoted in raised brass letters is:
Made in France ce 5E5 On the metal clasp that holds the wire stand to the back is denoted –
