Title: Edward Moore and Co Glass Milk Jug - 1888
Post by: artistcollecting on December 03, 2011, 04:38:14 AM
Hi everyone!  :)
Just received this item which I won from ebay. It is the same as this one (Rd 109612 2nd Oct. 1888) fromthis site http://www.murrayam.supanet.com/moore.html.  Imagine my joy when I found the site and thought, finally, I got something that is recorded! But when I looked at it closely, found some stuff which made me doubt  :-\ Attached photos show some imperfections I wasn't expecting... site said that Edward Moore & Co were reputed for good quality products. However... 2nd & 3rd photos (encircled/rectangled in red) show that the jug seemed to have been formed in more than sections and "glued" together.  First photo shows protrusion on the edge of the mouth of the jug.... the underside edge is rough/uneven...  did I expect too much? Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks!!  :)

P.S. Have been trying to attach photos but they won't...
