Title: Help Identifying Peacock Figurines Hungary
Post by: Thom on January 21, 2012, 09:41:21 PM
Can anyone help identify this pair of porcelain peacocks? There is what appears to be an S on the bottom with the words Handpainted Hungary and the numbers 6018. They belonged to my grandmother. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you  :)

My grandmother had peacocks and all of her blue-haired friends (I say this with respect and humor!) had them as well.  They were extremely popular and influential to have in the 40's to 50's and because of that were mass made!

Would need to see pics of actual markings.
